CHEGA!

Estou em casa a ver tv, e uma pergunta surge-me na cabeça!

Ainda há pachorra para programas de dança? Os 127 anteriores não foram suficientes?

E já agora, já chega de músicas dos ABBA! Mamma mia! a maior desgraça de 2008, tornou o anterior flagelo de Natal num fenómeno arrepiante que dura todo o ano.

The life and Death of Peter Sellers (2004)


Peter Sellers é um génio da representação, basta olhar para “Dr. Strangelove” (1964) e para “Being There” (1979), no entanto foi um génio perturbado e teve uma morte prematura. O “The Life and Death of Peter Sellers” é uma biografia da vida de actor de Sellers, conta-nos como evoluiu da rádio para o cinema e como teve sempre uma visão algo deturpada da realidade, escudando-se atrás da sua infantilidade. Sellers estava certo que era magistral e isso tornava-o arrogante, quando o que ele queria mesmo era ser encarado como um actor sério e não como um palhaço. “Being There”, foi um sonho atrás do qual correu muito tempo, a falta de personalidade e de expressão da personagem atraia-o, encantava-o, e era finalmente o papel sério que o iria afirmar como actor em todas as vertentes. Quanto a mim foi sem dúvida o papel de uma vida num filme sublime. Sellers morreu novo e sozinho...uma tragédia para o cinema mundial.


Nota: 3,5/5 – É assustadora a semelhança entre Geoffrey Rush e Sellers, um magnifico papel.

A antecipação!


Allen é um mestre, nalgumas coisas talvez O mestre (sempre acompanhado por Groucho Marx). Então estou em estágio para ver o novo de Woody (“Vicky Cristina Barcelona” (2008)). Dizem-me que é um Filme típico de Woody Allen – o que para mim são boas notícias – filmado na Europa. Estou curioso para ver como filma Barcelona, e já agora como está a Scarlett!

P.S. - Ouvi dizer que a Sophia Loren de Almodóvar faz um belo papel – pelo menos é o que dizem as nomeações...

P.S. 2 – E o Peter Sellers (outro génio – este com mau génio) que esteve apaixonado pela Sophia Loren – a verdadeira!

As minhas impressões sobre as nomeações para os Óscares

Este ano, como sempre, houve algumas surpresas nos nomeados e sobretudo na falta deles.

Fique surpreendido com o facto de:

Changeling”, não ter sido nomeado para melhor filme

Leonardo Di Caprio não ter sido nomeado para melhor actor

Clint Eastwood não ter sido nomeado para melhor realizador

Australia” não ter sido nomeado para melhor fotografia

E para mim a maior surpresa de todas foi o Boss (Springsteen) não ter sido nomeado para melhor música.

Desta nomeação retiramos um facto importante, uma das características principais que uma actriz deve ter para ser nomeada para um Óscar é ser a Meryl Streep…

O que queres no Natal querido? Quero Um Zombi só, só para mim, poistáclaro!

Andrew Currie traz-nos um filme inesperado, surpreendente e caricato. Com uma técnica de filmagem muito agradável, com cenas fabulosas, Currie conta-nos a história de um mundo afectado pela industrialização, em que os mortos se tornam zombies e participam na sociedade desempenhando funções a custo zero, tudo isto controlado por uma empresa todo-poderosa - Zomcon. A sociedade alterou-se e os velhos são considerados pessoas perigosas e se necessário abatidos, há uma banalização da morte que é necessária para manter a sociedade livre de seres comedores de carne humana. Esta comédia passada nos anos 50 tem, quanto a mim, algumas semelhanças com o brilhante “Edward Scissorhands” (1990).




Vejam este filme e a sua visão da sociedade. É com Zombies, mas são Zombies bonzinhos…Alguns…

Ps – A música deste filme é muito boa.

We all stand together (Frog song)


Quando era miúdo (muito bem comportado por sinal) tinha uma paixão por esta música e por este videoclip. Tenho muitas recordações, e muito boas, de ver isto na televisão sempre em alturas inesperadas, porque não fazia parte da programação apenas deveria entrar para animar a pequenada e ocupar um espaço morto criado por falhas no planeamento da emissão.



Entretanto encontrei isto em DVD juntamente com outras músicas animadas do Paul McCartney (Paul McCartney - The Music And Animation Collection) e já está arrumadinho na minha prateleira.

Prenda de Natal

Só agora comprei a minha prenda de Natal – de mim para mim! – e sabia mesmo o que queria.


Comprei o Casablanca (Ultimate Collector’s Edition). Casablanca (1942) é um dos meus filmes preferidos (Top 10) e foi dos primeiros que comprei em DvD, ainda nas velhinhas snapper cases, achei que precisava de companhia e fiz o meu primeiro DvD Double Dip.
Este é o filme Príncipe de Hollywood, o rei de Quotes e uma obra-prima deliciosa. Sem Casablanca alguns dos clichés pura e simplesmente não existiriam. Exemplos:

“Kiss me. Kiss me as if it were the last time.”

“We'll always have Paris”

Calça? O que é isso? Para mim era um par de calças ófazfavor!


Queria incitar a um levantamento popular contra o uso da não-palavra calça!

Como me irrita ir a uma loja, e são os lojistas quem usa esta falácia linguística com maior frequência, e pedir para ver umas calças ao que me respondem – Quer esta calça? Vou buscar.

Eu felizmente tenho dois, dois, membros inferiores pelo que gosto de usar um par de calças, de outro modo tenho frio e sinto que, na rua, sou olhado com outros olhos.

A única altura em que aceito o uso da palavra calça é quando alguém me pergunta - Que número, de sapatos bem entendido, calça? Aqui está o correcto uso da palavra.

Calças não tem singular, pelo menos não no sentido corrente, apenas quando designa cada uma das partes constituintes de um par. Portanto consideremos daqui para a frente a palavra calças como consideramos lápis – uma palavra sem singular.

Vamos acabar com o uso de calça no vocabulário dos lojistas!

Próximo passo – Eliminar palavras como calção, sapato e cinza.
